Mauritius offers countless paradisiacal kite spots

The windiest spot of Mauritius is - thanks to its topographic conditions - located especially in the South-West nearby the world cultural heritage site "Le Morne Brabant." You can add another 5-15 knots to the well-known weather forecasts of Windguru and windfinder most days of the year. On approx. 300 days a year the wind reaches 11 knots and more. Three spots in 15 kilometres parameter deserve to be called "extraordinary": Le Morne, Bel Ombre and Ile aux Benitiers are said to belong to the most variable spots of the world.

Weather

Mauritius' climate is with about 23 °C (73 °F) tropical and ideal for kite surfing. With Le Morne, Bel Ombre and Ile aux Benitiers the most beautiful kite spots are located int the relatively dry southwest. In the months from december to april stronger rain showers are possible nonetheless.
