Oliver Zänkert

Age: 39, nationality: German, languages: German/English/French

Oliver works in the wind and kite surfing branch for over 20 years. After his commercial training with a leading international windsurfing company, he noticed, that being a student he could spend much more time on the water. Consequently, during his studies of sports science he worked as surf and kite surfing teacher as well as a centre manager for leading travel agencies in countless destination. His former boss once wrote in a brochure that Oliver is married with his board ... well this isn't exactly true anymore. After a time-out of one year, where Oliver worked as a research assistant at a German university, he founded "AirSwitch-Mauritius" and continues to be instructor with heart and soul.

Katja Rhyner

Age: 34, natioanlity: Swiss, languages: German/English/French

For a number of years, Katja worked as a tour guide, wind surfing instructor and centre manager in Egypt, Turkey, the German island of Fehmarn and of course in Switzerland - where her parents own a windsurfing school. Katja's special expertise lies in coaching, nutrition and wellness, where her professional education as a nurse as well as numerous additional trainings come in handy.

Atish

Age: 31, nationality: Mauritian, languages: English / French

Of course, Atish knows his home inside out. He is the perfect organiser for tours, trips, car rental, accommodation, BBQs etc. With his Swiss precision, German reliability and Mauritian sense of humour he knows who to take good care of all our guests.

Fernando

Age: 27, nationality: Mauritian, languages: English/French

Fernando is an excellent instructor with a high degree of responsibility. He grew up on the Indian ocean being the son of a fisherman and he is already working as a certified instructor since more than 5 years.

Erwin

Age: 25, nationality: Mauritian, languages: English/French

Erwin is our experienced skipper for kite trips and rescue. In his calm yet efficient manor we and our guests know you can count on him a 100%. Before joining our team he was a skipper for dolphin and whale trips.

Gino

Age: 36, nationality: Mauritian, languages: French/English/German

Gino was one of the first Kitesurfers in mauritius long time ago.

Thanks to his incredible experience he is the perfect man for everything whats going on at the kite-beach: launching, lending, helping, rescue, small talk;)) etc.pp. Gino loves kitesurfing, especially with 5m² in 30 knots plus...and he loves the german winter in the Black Forest thanks to his wife Petra.

Neo

Age: 2 years, nationality: Swiss German, felt nationality: Mauritian, languages: very flexible

Neo is the youngest member of the team. For the moment, Neo is busy building castles – pardon – kite-centres with his loaders, cranes and trucks at the beach. Well, let´s wait and see...
